Endowment

The Endowment of Villa Park Rotary
Leaving a Lifetime Legacy is Easy

Through the Rotary Club of Villa Park, and several generous donors, we have now funded the VILLA PARK ROTARY ENDOWMENT with professional investment management. This legacy opportunity is open to both Rotarians and non-Rotarians alike. The initial two donations came from the Rich Freschi Memorial Vocational Scholarship Fund and the Mark R. Schmidt Memorial Scholarship Fund.

The purpose of this Endowment is to undertake long-term works of a charitable nature larger & more complex than currently within the club’s capability. The donor will be able to name the Fund in their name or to honor individuals whom the donor chooses. Endowment funds can be for such specific causes within:

  • Community Improvement
  • Education — infrastructure or scholarships for vocational, arts & crafts or academic
  • Health & Medical
  • International
  • Among others

To benefit named causes of your own choosing, the Endowment is capable of receiving outright gifts of cash, securities, real estate, gifts with retained life benefits, estate gifts and bequests. The Endowment, with its own Board of Trustees, is a charitable element of the Villa Park Rotary Club Nonprofit Corporation. As a fully integrated operating entity of the Villa Park club, it shares the club’s 501(c)3 tax deductibility status.

The Endowment Board of Trustees executive committee is composed of Rotarians with extensive financial and legal experience.  The investment management advisor is Joseph Hagler.  Any of these individuals will be happy to speak with individuals or groups on the endowment’s concept of charitable works, the charitable needs and opportunities of our local region and the methods of fiduciary management that makes it all possible.
